Sean Nós Dance Workshops were introduced as an afternoon event at our summer school in recent years.
Proving very popular from the outset for dancers of all ages and levels of experience, Leitrim dance teacher Edwina Guckian led these Workshops initially and more recently Geevagh native Eiméar Mulvey. We are very fortunate to have two such dedicated and passionate dance advocates in our region doing great work all year round.
This year the childrens’ class was enhanced greatly with the presence of a group of local boys and girls from Lollipop Lane After School Creche facility. It was wonderful to witness all the happy faces and see the dancing feet tapping it out on the beautiful maple dance floor of St Brigid’s Hall as well as on the little Square at Áit an Tobair for the final round up on Friday afternoon.
