2025 Set Dancing Céilithe
Our 2025 programme of céilithe at St Brigid’s Hall featured a stellar line up of céilí bands for seven nights straight. With calling by our esteemed set dance tutor, Pat Murphy, a mighty week of dancing was enjoyed by all, thanks to the wonderful music of Swallows Tail, Matt Cunningham, Dartry, Innisfree, Donie Nolan & Taylor’s Cross & the Glenside Céili Bands and new to our programme of céilithe for 2025, the award winning Piper’s Cross Céilí Band from neighbouring Mayo.
Dancers flocked to St Brigid’s Hall night after night and the atmosphere was electric with all seven bands on fire and the floor hopping for one set after the next. It was especially pleasing this year to see so many great young dancers take to the floor and we were delighted to welcome back dancing friends from near and far, including Nova Scotia, Australia and the Eastern United States as well as new dancers from Czechia, the UK and Spain, to name just a few.
